Spring Couple Session in Golden Hills Tehachapi

Spring in Golden Hills is always magical, but this session with Sean and Julia felt like something out of a dream. The snow had finally melted, leaving behind a landscape that was green, lush, and full of life. Julia had made her own dress for the session, yes made it, and it was every bit as stunning and unique as she is.

While we didn’t get the golden hour glow thanks to a blanket of clouds, nature had another surprise in store. As the evening settled in, the clouds lit up with soft pinks that painted the sky in a way that only spring evenings can. It was absolutely beautiful, romantic, calm, and perfectly suited to these two.

Photographing Sean and Julia always makes me literally jump with joy because they are so freaking cute together. Their chemistry is off the charts, and their joy for life and love for each other is contagious. They don’t just follow my instructions, they take them and make them their own, adding little moments and movements that make their images even more magical than I could imagine.

Every time I photograph them, I leave with my cheeks sore from smiling. This spring session was no exception, and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful evening or a more inspiring couple.
